when i was younger i did a lot of hiking and camping in the wilderness areas north-by-northwest of el paso, texas–places like the gila forest and the continental divide in colorado. in recent years megan and i have been camping in the adirondacks, the smoky mountains, the outer banks, acadia, and the catskills (just to name a few places). when i was in college i took a semester of floral arranging. it was one of the hardest classes to get into and wound up being one of the most memorable. once i started shooting pictures i found myself drawn even more to the beauty of nature. these are some of my favorites.
